This is a water pumping station, inside a French renaissance palace. The Palace of Flowing Waters (
Palacio de Aguas Corrientes) was built by an english comapny and designed by a Swedish-Argentine architect, Carlos Nystromer, in 1887. All the terra cotta tiles for the building were imported from England, made by Royal Doulton and It still contains a working pumphouse. (Wikipedia)
